Canadian Light Source interviews feature our Giant Mine research
10 September 2026
The Canadian Light Source has featured our work on recovering metallic arsenic from arsenic trioxide waste, including material associated with Giant Mine. The article and accompanying video include interviews with Case van Genuchten at GEUS and Tamara Etmannski at the University of British Columbia.
The feature explains the role of synchrotron measurements in characterizing the recovered arsenic and discusses the work still needed to assess its use in semiconductor materials and scale up the process.
